Fluidata in collaboration with a trusted partner, integrated the unique Hammersmith and Fulham network into our Service Exchange Platform last year. The next generation infrastructure is pioneering a new project to re-use exiting fibre ducts in the Hammersmith and Fulham area providing business’s in the borough with cost effective high speed Internet access. Hammersmith and Fulham has become the first council in England to let out access to all 15km of the underground ducts through which the authority's CCTV network runs. In further efforts to help businesses in the area and get more people using the network, Fluidata are offering a first month’s free rental to all local residents and members of the Hammersmith and Fulham Chamber of Commerce. This offer combined with the connected cities voucher scheme allows businesses to gain access to cutting edge connectivity without any upfront costs.
By using the SEP, businesses and home owners will have an increased choice of providers creating an amplified carrier competitive market place for end users. The unison of companies will bring faster broadband speeds and quality connectivity to assist small businesses to reach their full potential at a reasonable cost. Each business will be covered under the Fluidata Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and be supported by a 24/7 network operations centre.
Piers Daniell, Fluidata’s Managing Director mentioned: “Currently the Service Exchange Platform is the largest of its kind with over 16 networks connecting into it. While many might foster direct relationships with some of the major carriers, the wide choice and comparison of networks available allows the customer to make an informed choice. We are delighted that this unique infrastructure will now be connected into this platform, offering an unrivalled choice”.
