3rd Line IT Engineer

Role Overview:

The 3rd line IT Engineer role sits in a hybrid position, supporting the Service Desk, Field Service & Project Engineering teams. The main functions of the role are speed of response to high level service issues along with project delivery and support.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for and resolve 3rd line technical support cases.
• Work with our clients on complex issues that require a high level of understanding and customer service.
• Provide technical leadership, offering guidance to team members and assisting with project implementations.
• Manage and maintain our clients IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and cloud services.

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of server and virtualization technologies:
  • Windows server 2016-2022
  • Expertise in ESXI and Hyper-V environments
  • Deployment, troubleshooting and managing resources in Azure

• Networking:
  • Configuration and management of firewalls (Sonicwall & Meraki)
  • Switching & routing – in depth knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching
  • Wireless networking
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies:
  • Advanced administration of Microsoft 365
  • Management of Azure AD, Intune and conditional access
  • Powershell scripting
• Backup and disaster recovery:
  • Experience with backup technologies including Veeam, Acronis and Azure backup
• Ability to carry diagnostics verbally and / or remotely
• Proven experience in similar role
